We continue to live in unprecedented times but it is good that although our doors are shut, we can still be church. We are being church by the ways in which we are connecting with one another and we are able to worship together through various forms of technology. We are enjoying our Wednesday prayer sessions for those who can use Zoom and of course last week we introduced coffee after the service via Zoom too. We recognise that not everyone can access the service at 10.30 on the nail, so coffee time will start at 11.45 whether you have managed to tune in to the service or whether you are leaving that until later in the day. We thank God for the way in which we can still be family. And, I am excited that in the next few weeks we will be extending our opportunity to be community as we link with the city wide community navigation service SO:Linked and work closely with other churches as Love Southampton. These are very unusual days, and days that we would love to see behind us, nevertheless God is at work and building a new kind of community. I wonder, while we can’t meet anyone because of lockdown, where have you found community? Would you send us a photo, drop us an email or even a postcard so that we can share story next week.
