Well Being Café

Our Well Being Café offers a community space where we can relax from some of the pressure points in life. You can enjoy a hot drink with toast and cakes or biscuits, connection with various community partners and a craft table for adults.  If you are coming with children, we open our Family Room at 10 where there is space for pre-schoolers to play with toys and soft sofas for parents and carers.  We are open from 9 – 11.30 am. Making your well being our highest priority, we can link you to Community Navigators from Solent Mind to offer additional mental health wellbeing and Home Group who can support housing issues and concerns.  We also can link you with specialists in Employment and HR, Schools and Education and once a month Social Prescribers from Living Well Partnership are with us as is someone from Carers in Southampton.

New from 30th September will be our ‘Speak’ table. This is an opportunity for those whose first language isn’t English to practice English Conversation in a friendly and welcoming café space. The sessions will be held every other week.

I love coming to the café because it enables me to get out of the house and meet people. I bring my wife and mother in law.  Both have Alzheimer’s.  The café makes a difference to me because I need to talk to people and everyone is happy to talk.  Very friendly atmosphere.  The best thing about the café is everyone talks to you and the cakes etc. are lovely 10/10.  Young and old mix perfectly.  Martin

You will find our volunteers friendly and welcoming and it is a great space to meet people, share interests and grow in happiness and wellbeing. We don’t make a charge for refreshments but invite you to make a pay as you can donation.
