Tenebrae is a word meaning “shadows”.  For hundreds of years God’s people have held Tenebrae services on Maundy Thursday or Good Friday during which we reflect on the pain, betrayal and darkness of the events leading up to Jesus’ death.  It’s a service full of drama, mystery, symbolism and hope.  This year our Maundy Thursday service will take the form of a Tenebrae Supper, combining a simple meal similar to the one shared by Jesus and his friends on that first Maundy Thursday with a Tenebrae Service.  It is important to book your place so we can arrange catering.

On Sunday the light bursts forth, but on Thursday evening we are going to dwell for a while in the shadows…

It is essential to book for this event so we can save you a place and prepare the right number of meals.  Please click here to reserve a seat.
